BREAKING: FORMER PRESIDENT, MOHAMMED BUHARI IS DEAD.

President Tinubu has announced the death of his immediate predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.


According to Tinubu's spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, Mr President has also spoken to the wife of the late former president, Aisha Buhari to offer his condolences.


The vice president, Kashim Shettima has been ordered to travel to the UK to accompany the lifeless body of Buhari back home.


Buhari who was Nigeria's military head of state between December 1983 and August 1985, and was democratically elected twice as President in 2015 and 2019 died today in London at about 4.30 pm, following a prolonged illness.


In respect of his death, President Tinubu has ordered flags be flown at half-staff across the country.
