  64 Days After: Where Are The Abducted Mussa Pupils? Sixty-four days have passed since the abduction of the 42 school pupils in Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School, Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State. The children, including toddlers, were abducted on May 15, 2026, from their classrooms in their community located on the fringes of the dreaded Sambisa Forest. The children who were abducted on the same day as the Oriire pupils have since remained in captivity. Following the rescue of the Oriire pupils and teachers, parents of the Mussa pupils have been anxious hoping that their children will follow suit.   CAC to deregister 100,000 companies over unfiled returns The Corporate Affairs Commission has commenced moves to strike off 100,000 companies from its register. The firms are affected over their failure to file outstanding annual returns and other statutory documents. The Commission disclosed this in a public notice signed by its management on Wednesday. It said the exercise, tagged Batch 6, was being carried out pursuant to Section 692 (3) and (4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020. According to the notice, the affected companies can find their names on the Commission’s website.   Bandits Invade Kogi School, Abduct Principal, NECO Supervisor, Students. Suspected bandits have attacked Government Secondary School, Opada-Olowa in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, abducting the school principal, a National Examinations Council (NECO) supervisor, and four students. The attack reportedly occurred around 2 p.m, on Tuesday, while students were sitting for the examination. Residents said the heavily armed assailants stormed the community, firing sporadically to scare people before invading the school. A community leader, Sunday Alkali, said residents were relaxing under trees when the gunmen suddenly appeared. “The gunmen seemed surprised to see many people outside at that time of the day and initially retreated. They later returned, shooting indiscriminately, forcing everyone to flee for safety,” he said.   ‘Boko Haram uses AI to make bombs, plot operations’ A report by  The New York Times  has revealed how Boko Haram terrorists turned to artificial intelligence, AI, for weapons making, including bombs, as well as improving their operations generally. Former insurgents, the report noted, used multiple AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek. According to the report, former Boko Haram commanders told terrorism and technology researcher, Antonia Juelich of the University of Cambridge, that after an assault on a military base was frustrated by a defensive trench, the group consulted AI tools for ideas.   Ogun traders count losses as govt demolishes Mowe/Ofada market Traders  at the Mowe/Ofada Market in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State have decried the demolition of the market by the state government, alleging that the exercise was carried out without prior notice.
