In Memoriam: His Imperial Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona - WALE KUKU MOURNS


Chieftain of the Labour Party and Convener of the New Generation Foundation, Wale Kuku has described the passing of the revered monarch of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiri Kayode Adetona as painful. 

He further said the passing of the  Awujale of Ijebuland has left a void in the hearts of the Ijebu heritage while extending his deepest condolences to the royal family, the people of Ijebuland, Ogun State, and Nigeria.

In a phone call with the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebu Land confirming this painful exit, Wale Kuku condoled with him and prayed for peace and prosperity to continue in Ijebuland. May the king's noble spirit find eternal rest, and may his legacy continue to inspire and guide the people of Ijebuland and Nigeria.

Oba Adetona's decades-long reign was marked by peace, cultural preservation, and service to his people. His leadership was a beacon of hope and unity, inspiring generations to come.

Wale Kuku described the monarch's passing as a monumental loss to the nation, praising his selfless dedication to his people. He prayed for the royal family and the people of Ijebuland to find solace in the memories of Oba Adetona's great leadership. 

Describing the many developmental plans and roadmaps of Ijebu Land discussed and detailed between him and the late monarch, - while this loss is significant, he said, it will not kill the desire of the respected monarch's desire for the transformation of Ijebu Land. As he equally charged the sons and daughters of Ijebu Land to rise to immortalize the legacies of Oba Adetona.
