British Council Unveils Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants 2025
Up to £85,000 Available for Joint Green Entrepreneurship Projects
The British Council has announced the launch of the Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants 2025, a new funding initiative designed to strengthen international partnerships that promote green skills, climate resilience, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
The programme aims to connect UK institutions with organisations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to co-develop projects that build capacity among young people and communities facing the growing challenges of climate change.
Successful applicants will receive grants of up to £85,000 to support collaborative projects running for approximately nine and a half months. The funding is expected to cover a wide range of activities including:
✔ Development of climate-smart curricula and training programmes.
✔ Youth-focused entrepreneurship initiatives in green and sustainable sectors.
✔ Knowledge exchange and innovation partnerships between the UK and partner countries.
✔ Pilot projects that demonstrate scalable models of climate education and workforce development.
Applications are open to UK higher education or TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) institutions, and Partner organisations in eligible countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Proposals must show a strong institutional commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and measurable youth impact. Applicants are also encouraged to integrate gender and social equity into their project plans.The deadline for submission is 17 November 2025.
