BusinessFirst Launches Thrive Accelerator Programme: Partners CAC & SMEDAN to Drive Business Growth
By Infocity Business Desk | October 24, 2025
In a bold move to empower entrepreneurs across Ogun State, BusinessFirst has officially launched the Thrive Business Accelerator Programme — an initiative designed to support startups and small business owners with free Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration, funding access, and post-registration training.
The initiative, powered by Wale Kuku, is being implemented in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to promote business formalization and economic inclusion across the country.
Programme Highlights
Through the Thrive Accelerator Programme, 250,000 entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to receive free CAC registration, while also equipping them to operate legally and access formal financial and growth opportunities. Participants will also benefit from post-registration business coaching and training facilitated by industry experts from Moniepoint and F1 Interactive.
The training modules will focus on practical topics under the theme “Life After CAC – Branding, Tax & Funding,” helping business owners understand how to sustain and grow their ventures after formal registration.
Programme Schedule
🍽 Registration Period: October 1st – 30th, 2025
🍽 Onboarding Session: October 2nd, 2025
🍽 Accelerator Training & Certification: November 6th – 7th, 2025
Interested participants can join the BusinessFirst WhatsApp group for updates and complete the official registration form provided online. Applicants must ensure they are not already registered with the CAC, as the programme targets unregistered enterprises and early-stage entrepreneurs.
Driving Growth Through Collaboration
Speaking on the initiative, a representative from BusinessFirst noted that the programme aims to “rejuvenate small businesses, promote formalization, and open access to structured funding opportunities.”
By partnering with key agencies like SMEDAN and CAC, BusinessFirst is helping to bridge the gap between informal entrepreneurs and Nigeria’s formal business ecosystem. The collaboration also aligns with the government’s goal of empowering 250, 0000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with regularization for businesses to thrive knowing that small businesses are the backbone of national economic growth.
