Wale Kuku Condoles AJ, Urges Improved Emergency Response in Ogun

Wale Kuku has commiserated with AJ over the tragic accident that claimed the lives of his friends, describing the incident as heartbreaking and deeply painful.

In a statement released on his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, Kuku expressed sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for strength and comfort for all those affected by the loss.

Beyond offering condolences, Kuku used the opportunity to call on Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, to double efforts in strengthening first responder units and emergency services across the state. He noted that faster response times, better-equipped ambulances, and adequately trained emergency personnel could significantly reduce fatalities during accidents and emergencies.

Kuku stressed that the recurring loss of lives on roads and in public spaces highlights the urgent need for improved emergency preparedness and healthcare infrastructure in Ogun State.

He also pledged to pursue legislative action at the national level, promising to push for laws that will strengthen emergency healthcare systems and improve access to quality medical care if elected to the Senate.

According to Kuku, tragedies of this nature should serve as a wake-up call for decisive action, adding that saving lives must remain a top priority for government at all levels.

According to the Centre, nowhere in Bishop Kukah’s comments did he diminish the seriousness of faith-based persecution in Nigeria. Instead, it reaffirmed that the Bishop has consistently highlighted the alarming rise in targeted attacks on Christian com...
