MATTERS ARISING: Is senate becoming retirement home for ex-governors?
At the end of nearly every election cycle, governors approaching the close of their tenure often turn their attention to the senate, a recurring political movement that has renewed questions about whether the red chamber is becoming a soft landing for former chief executives of states rather than a platform for new legislative ideas.
