Wale Kuku and Labour Party Leaders Meet Ogun Waterside, Renew Commitment to People-Centered Governance


Oni/Ogun Waterside, Ogun State — April 6, 2026

Residents of Oni, Ilushin, Iwopin, and Ibiade wards came out in huge numbers  on Sunday as Hon. Wale Kuku aka Dodondawa and Labour Party leaders met with the people in a community engagement.

The Townhall event combined dialogue with a lively atmosphere of funfair, music, dance, and merriment, as families and children enjoyed the moment alongside the civic engagement. Giving everyone a memorable Easter Day event. 

The crowd goes wild for Wale Kuku's vision for a better Ogun State.

Hon. Wale Kuku reaffirmed his commitment to the people, Small business and farmers development, innovative learning saying, “I will never be a distant leader. I am here to listen, to serve, and to keep my promises.

My focus is clear — creating real economic opportunities, driving job creation, transforming education and expanding access, and improving the overall standard of living for our people.”

Residents expressed dissatisfaction with handout politics, calling for real development. A youth leader, Mr. Anifowose, decried neglect in the area.

The event also featured scholarships for students and support packages for farmers, artisans, and small business owners.


Hosted by Hon. Adiele, a prominent party leader in the Local Government, he noted,  “Leadership is about creating opportunities, not sharing handouts.” and he promised to continue to work with the people to seek ways to improve their livelihood.

  Tragedy Strikes at Ifo Market in Ogun State: Woman Killed Over ₦1,500 Eid Prayer Levy   A devastating incident has shaken the Ifo Market in Ogun State, leaving the community in mourning after a female trader, Mrs. Blessing Eze, was allegedly stabbed to death.
