BREAKING: Arik Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Benin Over Engine Damage


An Arik Air flight en route from Lagos to Port Harcourt was forced to make an emergency landing at the Benin Airport following reported engine damage.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred mid-flight, prompting the pilot to divert the aircraft as a precautionary safety measure. A video circulating online shows visible damage to one of the aircraft’s engines after landing.

Passengers on board were safely evacuated, and no casualties have been reported as of the time of filing this report. Aviation authorities are expected to commence an investigation to determine the cause of the engine malfunction.

Arik Air has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
