In a proper democracy, if you don’t perform, the people will vote you out. Unfortunately, many use state instruments to perpetuate themselves in office against the people’s will.

We must sustain constant dialogue on democracy in Africa; otherwise, the decline may reach a point where democracy itself goes into extinction.”
