Ward 9, Ijebu-Ode came alive as party members, supporters, youths, women, and community stakeholders turned out in large numbers for the Labour Party Town Hall Meeting. The atmosphere was filled with energy and optimism as participants engaged in frank conversations on the state of the nation, discussing governance, security, the economy, healthcare, education, and the future of Nigeria.


The interactive session gave attendees the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and contribute to discussions on the role of citizens in building a better country. A goodwill message from Senator Wale Kuku was delivered, urging members to remain united, committed, and focused on building a stronger movement. The meeting was chaired by the Ijebu-Ode Local Government party Chairman, Hon. Orenuga Ademola, and hosted by the Labour Party leader in Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Hon. Oluyinka Kazzim.


The event recorded over 100 participants from across the ward, confirming the growing enthusiasm for grassroots political engagement. Also, several participants went home with giveaway packages and cash prices. With many exciting moments. 


Voters registration was also conducted to assist eligible members who were yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), reinforcing the party's commitment to increased civic participation.

  Tragedy Strikes at Ifo Market in Ogun State: Woman Killed Over ₦1,500 Eid Prayer Levy   A devastating incident has shaken the Ifo Market in Ogun State, leaving the community in mourning after a female trader, Mrs. Blessing Eze, was allegedly stabbed to death. According to InfoCity, the incident occurred on Thursday, June 6, 2025, when a group of men, suspected to be Islamic religious extremists, stormed the market, demanding a compulsory levy of ₦1,500 per shop to fund the Eid celebration.
